Tidbits

So, The Bachelor finale...lame, lame, lame. Honestly, I probably won't be able to watch it after this. I hate having my intelligence insulted that obviously. The fact that it was rigged and scripted was pretty apparent. I can't believe I stopped DVR'ing House for this. At least I still have Gossip Girl to qualify as a guilty pleasure...

So, yesterday MCM got her leg lodged in between the rails of her crib, and I honestly didn't know if I was going to be able to get it out! We had a crazy day. It started with a much too early wake-up from the wee one at 5:15 AM. She simply wouldn't go back to sleep, so that's when my day started too. By about 8:00 AM she was completely worn out. I tried putting her down for a nap twice in the morning to no avail. By the time it reached her real afternoon nap time, she was limp as a noodle, falling all over the place and VERY cranky. I did everything I could to help her wind down but finally left her whimpering in her crib and hoped that she would fuss herself to sleep. Not so. The crying merely escalated and after a while became screams. I ran back to check on her only to discover that she was screaming in terror because her leg was stuck in the oddest position through the crib rail. I guess she tried to climb out, got her leg through up to her thigh and then couldn't pull back out over her knee. Poor child! I wiggled her around until we freed the poor little leg, rubbed red from all the work she'd been doing. After that she was tuckered out. Let's just say, that was one episode in the span of a very long day.

(And she woke up at 5:30 AM again this morning. Daylight savings time could not come any sooner!)

Speaking of, daylight savings time begins this Sunday! It's the best news I've heard in weeks, and I cannot WAIT to have extra sunshine in the afternoons. Sure, I'm enormously pregnant but the possibility of getting out for a walk during what are usually the most dreaded hours of my day, sounds simply divine.

I am 29 weeks pregnant. I look as if I could give birth any day, but I know this mountain on my abdomen is only going to get bigger before baby comes. I've entered the third trimester insomnia phase...at night I just roll back and forth like a beached whale. Every time I change positions it means there's a new sense of pressure on my bladder, which means I must get up to pee. My poor husband. Neither of us are great sleepers, but between my rolling/peeing, and his frequent night waking to make sure there are no intruders in the house, we are quite the sleepy pair. His willingness to trade off waking up with MCM in the morning is absolutely my saving grace though. Last night I got practically no sleep, but he woke up with her this morning and let me stay in bed until 7:30 AM. That's romance, people! Or at least it is when you are parents of tots.

And, lastly, new baby sister still doesn't have a name. We simply cannot seem to make a decision. There are two contenders right now, but I honestly have no idea what we will choose. We might throw them both out and come up with something new...who knows. According to that floating baby, there are only 75 days left...we shall see!

Happy Tuesday, folks!

Yesterday sounds horrible! Poor you and poor MCM - the leg getting stuck sounds so sad :(.

And then stupid Jason couldn't end your day well...stupid bachelor. No wonder he is one. And can I say that Molly is pathetic too. (Melissa's mutter about Jason was quality...it made me chuckle).

You totally do NOT look like you could give birth any day...even if you feel that way. You look great!
